110: vomits her mind

I got my new heel-less platform shoes today! Check them out:

These babies make me 7.25" taller. Much needed height.


They're surprisingly comfortable but a bit heavy.

They're definitely a lot easier to walk and stand around in than Gaga's Noritaka Tatehana shoes because of the extra notch in the platform.

I know that many people think that these shoes are absolutely ridiculous. The more I look at them...the sillier they look to me. However, I really adore these and I would like to wear them everyday. I'm not sure if people will understand how much fun I have in them and judge me....especially when I'm out grocery shopping. Honestly now...what do you think?

A super duper happy birthday to my bf & bff, Matt!
It's the 8th birthday of his that we're celebrating together & it's just gonna be a quiet dinner together & watching some baseball. :)

108: after midnight

I felt like being spontaneous today! I started with 'after midnight blue' (it's manic panic so it'll fade pretty fast with a few washes) and I'll add sonic green a few weeks later :). It's quite blue with the light from my window shining on it, but it's a bit more dark and subtle IRL. I'm actually shocked that this look is 'back' but now I've got the dip dye look that I wanted!

107: sheer bottoms

I know that lace tops & sheer blouses have been in for a while now, but have you been seeing the sheer skirt trend? I'm loving the contrast of the modesty of a longer skirt with the sexiness of revealing some skin underneath.

& I love that it gives you the freedom to treat the skirt more like a layering piece than a pair of bottoms. You get the flexibility to wear it with a mini skirt, a full length maxi or hot pants :)


We've got ONE sheer maxi in the L&B shop right now... and we're soon to be adding a ton more after some amazing vintage fabric finds.

Now how about the lace shorts trend?

106: velvet litas

So I bought a pair of Jeffrey Campbell's Litas back in February. I've been wanting to wear them for for feels like FOREVER now! I STILL haven't worn them outside.
The weather has been rather nasty and I really want it to warm up and stop raining :(
I'm really afraid of getting caught in the rain while wearing them!




Does anyone have experience with wearing velvet shoes? Are they really difficult to maintain in good condition?


My blue distressed leather Litas are water damaged. The second day of wearing them...I walked into a massive puddle in the dark and they're forever water soaked. (this photo was taken the day before it happened) I was told that I could just take them to a leather...man and pay them to fix it. I decided to just leave them.

Is anyone else going through this? 
Patiently waiting for Summer or Winter to wear certain shoes or items of clothing?
