Today the video for Gaga's song yoü and i premiered (two days early!) & I lovelovelove it. I get really teary eyed when I hear her perform this song, LET'S NOT TALK ABOUT IT THOUGH. I pretty much died at how amazing the scene was with her & 'jo calderone', almost as perfect as her dancing with rick genest in born this way. ugh.
Anyway, I noticed the gorgeous leather harnesses in this scene & was wondering if they were made or inspired by Zana Bayne.
Luckily, Nicola Formichetti posted fashion credits on his blog & I was able to confirm that they were made by her! I'd been following Zana's store on etsy (called garbagedress) for a while & was wanting to buy a leather harness for FOREVER. I was just looking at her fall collection a few days ago, so I'm so happy to see her doing well with them because they're so amazing. here are my faves:
Have you ever checked out the blog Advanced Style? It's an amaaazing blog on street fashion on elderly ladies. WHAT. I love it so much & recently just watched this vid collab with nowness.com . These ladies are an amazing inspiration to dress fearlessly. I love the lady with the blunt bangs that loves rodarte. That's future me, okay?
And last night at 3:30am over here, the Britney vid for til the world ends was released! & Not to be outdone, Lady Gaga released episode 41 of her youtube webisodes Transmission gagavision. You see a snippet of the choreo for Judas and you get to just see her being her. loved it. Thoughts?!
fave moment, lol:

ps, thanks for your lovely compliments on my brassy-ass hair! ahaha I can guarantee that the coppery blonde is not as cute as you think. I'll post pics soon with what I'm doing with it! DID YOU KNOW: Sam also has done some bleaching but has stayed pretty quiet about it ;)
So today I went downtown Toronto to see Mr. Dallas Green play a free show. I couldn't miss out, this man is my hero. In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Juno awards City and Colour was part of a line up including Shad and Hannah Georgas that played this free outdoor show.
This was the 7th time I've seen Dallas (not including the times I've seen Alexisonfire and that is way more than 7 times for sure) and I never get sick of him.
It was a pretty cold day, I'm pretty sure it was about -10 degrees celsius the windchill was about -20 degrees celsius. I was outside from 6:30pm - 10pm. Not good...but that is why I wore a tank top, long sleeve top, wool sweater, wool jacket, leggings, jeans, over the knee socks, 2 more pairs of socks, muk luks, mittens, scarf, & hat. No big deal. haha!
As cold as I was by the end of the night - I was colder when I went to see Our Lady Peace in -20 degree celsius weather. I was probably outside from 9pm-1am (I don't remember the exact amount)
But when you can't feel your toes or fingers and don't remember how to bend your knees...it's a terrible feeling.
I'm exhausted now and it's not only because I was trying to hold a camera above my head to take any photos at all...but also because this long day in the cold followed a day of shovelling the heavy heavy snow!
Well...since it's 2:30am - I'll get to the photos I snapped:

Here's a video I shot the last time I saw City and Colour in Toronto. Gord Downie of the Tragically Hip made a surprise appearance for the encore song (The Sleeping Sickness) and it was the greatest moment ever!
This is my most viewed video ever. Also, the first time I saw City and Colour live in 2007. I remember trying to get tickets to see him in 2005 but having plans fall through =(
Dallas & I in 2008 <3
Just curious...but do YOU love Dallas Green/City and Colour? ;)
This is the manifesto of Mother Monster: On G.O.A.T, a Government Owned Alien Territory in space, a birth of magnificent and magical proportions took place. But the birth was not finite. It was infinite. As the wombs numbered and the mitosis of the future began, it was perceived that this infamous moment in life is not temporal, it is eternal. And thus began the beginning of the new race, a race within the race of humanity, a race which bares no prejudice, no judgment but boundless freedom. But on that same day, as the eternal mother hovered in the mulitverse, another more terrifying birth took place, the birth of evil. And as she herself split into two. Rotating in agony between two ultimate forces, the pendulum of choice began its dance. It seems easy you imagine to gravitate instantly and unwaveringly towards good. But she wondered, "How can I protect something so perfect without evil?" Source:hxcfairy.tumblr.com

Alsoooo, today Sam picked up the Viva Glam "GAGA 2" lipstick & lipglass today! I was SO excited to hear that Gaga was doing a second Viva Glam Campaign with MAC Cosmetics. For those that don't know, MAC has a line of lipsticks that are made entirely for a charitable cause. Every cent of the selling price of each lipstick & lipglass is donated to MAC aids fund. They often do celebrity endorsed campaigns that feature colours that are made in limited runs, which is why I missed out on the last gaga lipstick! :( I was SOOO pumped that this one was going to be a nude colour too! I'm usually a heavy eye-makeup kinda gal, so I like peach & nude lip finishes. aaaaaand I'm so happy that the lipstick is in the amplified creme finish-- super moisturizing for a lipstick!
I'll finish this post with two (very different) awesome videos I watched today:
Do you guys remember the days when the release of a music video was a huuuge deal? Are any of you old enough for that? I remember the anticipation leading up to a new music release-- the days before digital downloads & youtube... we would actually have to wait by the tv or radio to hear the latest singles. (and record them on cassette tape or on vhs! ahaha)
