Create your Style with Swarovski Elements Magazine (CLOSED)

Hey guys,

We were so excited when we were contacted by Swarovski! The people at Create your Style with Swarovski Elements Magazine were kind enough to send us a copy of this year's issue straight from Austria.

We weren't too sure what to expect from a magazine about the crafting crystals... and we were pleasantly surprised by all the DIY projects in there! Here are a few sneak peeks of what was inside:
The entire issue is based around the theme of "sound" so there are some cool bits about the influence of fashion on music & vice versa!

There are these cute tabs separating all the DIY projects in the book! Look how many!

The DIY projects are all really well photographed tutorials so that beginners can follow too

If you'd like to check out more of what's inside, you can take a peek at The Create Your Style Website.
If you'd rather have a hard copy of this awesome mag, you can enter to win on the Create Your Style Facebook page

  1. I was so excited to see this! My aunt used to let me browse through her books as a kid and I'd make my own (really bad) versions. I make my jewelry now, not as much as I used to when I was younger, but getting my hands on a copy of this would really spark my inspiration again. You guys are great and have such awesome visions! Hopefully I'm a worthy candidate! (samysunshine@hotmail.com)

  2. Oh boy! I love to diy because not only does it save money, but you can create one-of-a-kind things and it's an awesome feeling being able to tell people that you made your skirt or shirt or whatever when they ask you where you got it.

  5. I love DIY because I'm too particular for what is available most of the time. I'll like something, but there will be a detail that isn't exactly how I want it, so I love having the chance to make it myself, just the way I want it to be.

  7. Swarovski crystals are the best in the beading world.  Nothing shines like them.  I have made some wonderful gifts for people that i love.  DIY projects give you the satisfaction of creating and completing projects.  It also gives you the opportunity to make these designs your own, by changing up the colour or adding another element.  Thanks for the opportunity to win this.  Love you guys.  (christina.santolin@rogers.com

By the way, I don't know if anyone else has this issue but it is sometimes hard to comment on your blog; sometimes I have to refresh the page a few times before the comment box shows up. I've never noticed this with other Disqus users.

  9. :D
I LOVE DIY-ing because it only needs my creativity and simple items to create something new/better/cooler! I'm not from a very wealthy family, so I will always try to make the best out of what I have. Not only do I save some $$, I also get to stay in fashion (proudly) with my own production! Not to mention have my own style B). It's that sense of achievement and appreciation that only we DIY-ers can understand.
DIY-ing items also shows how much effort and time you put in it, and that just adds in the value to the item :) because to me, it's the heart that matters <3
