Is anyone out there as obsessed with the Hunger Games books as I am? Of course you are! If you're like me, you're probably dying for the release of the movie. Well, we just got a hold of a pair of passes for you to come to the Canadian Premiere of the movie at the Scotiabank Theatre on March 19th! Not only will you be amongst the first people in Canada to catch the movie, but you'll also be in attendance with some cast members. Josh Hutcherson (Peeta Mellark), Liam Hemsworth (Gale Hawthorne), and Alexander Ludwig (Cato) will be there & I read some whisperings that Justin Bieber might go too, hahaha :)

ReplyDeleteMy favourite character is Katniss because unlike most movies that depict women as useless and not strong, she shows women that how strong they can really be, facing family issues, as well as presents leadership, and shows our generation that we can have a voice! PLEASE PICK ME! I'm such a huge fan, I've read the series 14 times and I love the Hunger Games. The premiere is just days away from my sixteenth birthday and I would kill just to be in the same theatre where Suzanne Collins beautiful book is being brought to life! I'd give my own arm or leg! He makes her feel at ease and really understands her pain. Although he's surrounded by so many people caught up in the games, he is able to look past that and do whatever it takes to help Katniss. When Katniss meets him she instantly realizes that he is different than the rest and is on her side. Even though he lives in the capitol where people are brainwashed by the government, he is able to understand that putting children into these games is not okay. Without him, Katniss would never have gotten the help she needed to win the games, because Cinna made people want her to win. He created the girl on fire.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite character is Rue!!! She is the sweetest little girl in the book. Her whole background, about how she helped her people with the song that signaled to quit working that day. Then Katniss sings that song to Rue as she dies :/, it's a beautiful way to bring humanity into the games. It's not just about winning, it's also about the people who are impelled or have volunteered themselves for the survival of their people.
