tutorial - scalloped nails

We haven't been posting many manicures lately, but hopefully with Spring here, we'll think up lots more cute techniques with all those bright colours we're starting to see this season! Today we're gonna do a really simple technique that you can do with only a couple colours & any dotting tool you have laying around!

Here's the look we're going for:

What you'll need:
- a light colour
- a contrasting dark colour
- a paintbrush for dotting
- a base coat & quick dry topcoat

Start with a basecoat of your light colour

Take a piece of paper and drop some dark nail polish on


Using your dotting tool (we used the end of a small paintbrush) to pick up some polish


make a row of dots along the middle of your nail. You may need to re-dip your tool after every couple of dots


Use your nail polish brush to fill in the remaining gap!
You may need a couple of coats because the dots will look like a thicker coat :)


and then topcoat...


and you're all done!

It's a really simple technique with super cute results :)
